May be you are right but I noticed more load on motorhome battery, most cars have agm batteries and at least in my case motorhome usage pattern is completely different from cars .... I will have to deal with motohome battery with more TLC.

Not just luck, that's the way it's supposed to be... after all, they are called 'Storage Batteries' are they not?

Perhaps it's lack of understanding how automotive electrical systems work, it's the same for motor homes as it is for automobiles!

All these experts know more than I do... but for more than ten years I've left the LD in storage in Arizona every year for summer months or more with Stabil in the engine and the solar panels turned off, and both the starting engine battery and coach batteries with the negative terminal disconnected.  I also leave my 4WD truck and Subaru in Alaska from fall to spring breakup (with many weeks below zero), also with Stabil in the engines and starting batteries disconnected.  So far I get them all to start when I return to use them.  No electricity involved and only used a charger when a battery needs replacement.  What I'm disappointed about is that all the batteries including the coach batteries need replacement more often than in the past.  I used to be able to get ten-year battery warranties, but those days are over!  We get ONE YEAR warranty on batteries these days,  One of the two coach batteries I bought in 2022 is already dead in 2023, so since they are replaced in pairs, I'll have to buy two of them AGAIN.  It seems we are being forced to buy batteries more often.

Kristin,
Perhaps we are going off the topic but cannot resist as I keep think what I will do when my coach batteries will die. Lithium batteries are getting very cheap and technology guaratee atleast 3500 charge/discharge cycles (conservative estimates). Random sample from Amazon and there are many more  Amazon.com : WETOWN Power Station 1500W Solar Generator 1280Wh UPS Battery...  .... builtin inverter and you can simply plug it to coach and even if you do not want to do any wiring from alternator this can be charged via usb cable while you are driving ....

I think I still have few years (or may be not, not sure) left in coach battery but these Chinease products are very cheap and bundle saves a lot on labor if you just buy the battery and somebody install it  .....

Yes out of box solution, I will have to think lot on this when I am ready and have see what is available ...

More than anything, just checking if I can post pictures. If pictures do come through you can see after not able to use lighter socket I hardwired charger connections to the battery terminal. If two electric wire ties do not not give up in few bumps I simply have to make a connection for long term storage.
Guess this is it on this topic.
