When it comes to the current economic conditions, I have a feeling that everything is going to get a lot worse.

Not all that surprising as even the used RV market is cooling down from last year...  the industry geared up turning out RV's at a rate that could barely keep up.  People went back to work, perhaps RV'ing is losing it's luster?  RV lots are sitting full with new models not being sold.

Wonder also how much of these layoff's are due to Thor's ownership and efforts to cut costs (lets hope Tiffin's quality doesn't suffer as with other Thor offerings).

When borrowing money is no longer free, people can't afford the things they have, let alone new ones.

Free money was never a good idea and now we see the results.

The are only a few 'laws' in life.   The law of supply and demand is absolute.   Humans have tried all sorts of games and ticks to do away with this law but it never works.

I agree it was a bad idea to get free money.   Prices always raise or fall to the available money in one's pocket.    At some point, we all pay the price.    IMHO we are in a demand-side inflation cycle.   Till the excess money is moved out of the system we'll be dealing with stormy weather.

More likely more people have returned to work, and have moved from part time, back to full time. So they don't have as much time to use their 'new' RV's, or the extra luxury of high priced fuel to go as far away as they wanted.  The allure of Adjustable rate loans then, may be making things harder to afford in the future.  RonB

Clearly the RV industry is struggling with our current economic conditions."

I would not be at all surprised to see Thor bleed off Tiffin assets for $$$$$ and close Tiffin down completely. Less competition for their other sorry manufactured motorhomes.  I have seen this happen other RV companies going way back. A couple of years after I bought a Barth motorhome in 1992 a company bought out Barth and just sold all its assets.
The Barth all aluminum coaches were designed by the Barth brothers who were aircraft engineers and used those principals in the structure of their diesel pusher motorhomes. It was a very well built coach. The person that bought my Barth still has and regularly uses it today. He has even stopped here at our ranch a couple of times.

We looked at a 2022 Tiffin class B, a few months just to see how it was made.
Very inferior building materials very similar to what are in most l of w quality build class Cs,
Only concession to itbeing a tiffin was a painting ( generic oil landscape) hanging on the folded up Murphy bed.
