Ron, thankfully the cats were inside a fenced garden area.  I was surprised when the deer chased after the fox (blurry but see first photo- if you zoom in you can see the fox running away after the deer bolted towards it).

Greg,  we too had a young 6-point buck and his doe-friend walk across our back yard early yesterday morning. There are a couple of groups hanging out in our woods most of the time. We enjoy seeing them while we wander the woods.

Beautiful mature specimen!   But by the 3rd frame you had been 'made' and from there it was game over!

Your photos of deer sent me to memories of moments observing elk and deer in Wyoming. Here is one taken on the National Elk Refuge outside Jackson Hole that you might find interesting - young bull elk practicing for a future “Rut”…
