Forest Squatters
During our trip last summer to Wyoming, we visited the Big Horns mountains, exploring the back roads, we saw many unoccupied derelict trailers, parked in some beautiful boondocking places, including the very one shown in this article.
RV squatting isn't just for the big cities today.

Another article on this subject is attached. The area referenced is one of my favorite boondocking places - the Upper Green River valley (especially Green River Lakes), of Wyoming. In the 15 years I lived in North West Wyoming I observed the trend described in the article.  A bit discouraging, for sure. However, there is a whole lot of beautiful country out there and even with the more recent hyper growth in RV adventurers, it is still possible to ‘get back” to nature if one puts some effort into it.  Oh, and having a Jeep for a towed really helps!

As more and more mortgage holders and renters are finally being faced with eviction, I think this trend will only get worse.

We saw several rigs parked along the back, back roads in the Big Horns in places where a chainsaw was necessary to gain access. Others just park in more accessible places for the season, since it's a steep grade to pull.
It's the only forest area we have seen that has a fenced area where you can store your RV.

We found several places, the one in the field of wildflowers was our fav.

Ditto on the Green River, groups, and familes jammed together into any flat spot for miles.

The good days are over.

City problems will always become country problems or vice versa I'm not sure which it is.    Humans are what they are no place is safe from them......
