Driving and LD Manual
Finally took the LD out for a spin, seven days up in New Mexico. Gotta say, I really like this rig. Love the layout and it handles very well. I feel that it performs in mountain driving about the same as our last diesel pusher. I had posted earlier abut my concerns with the lack of supplemental braking but that tow/haul feature is great. We only got 8.3 with lots of mountain driving but I feel I can get it up to 10 as I become more familiar with it. Anyhow, I always wanted one of these babies and am glad to finally have one.

I did a lot of reading on this trip and that included the LD manual. That is the best damn manual I've ever come across. I really enjoyed it. They actually wrote it for us owners!  ;D  For example, I've had the rear wheel skirts up a couple of times and kept scraping my arm on the edge. I even installed some vinyl edging along the bottom side. Instead, all I had to do was read the manual to find out the Fiamma awning hook is the ideal tool for holding up the skirts!!!  :D  :D  :D Gotta love those guys!

Good luck on that mileage!  In 10 years I’ve never gotten over 9MPG but there is always a possibility.

And congrats on your LD, they are the best.

I just put on a new set of tires on my 2016 - from the original Michelin to Firestone Transforce HT2. On this trip to fairly flat West Texas my milage improved from about 9.5 to 11 mpg Does not sound like a lot but that's a 20% improvement. That may have been just good luck and driving right so I'll see how  it does the next time out.

Just make sure to not lift the tire skirt too high up, if you do, the rivets can scratch the paint as I have found out myself

I think I read about the awning rod in my manual as well but decided a pair of fiberglass driveway snow markers works pretty well.

My way of keeping the wheel well skirt up out of the way while working on the wheels. The bungee is out of the way of my maneuvering under the skirt. The rubber hook tip helps keeping it in place on the window frame. It is even better if the window is open and the hook goes into the track.
The metal hook on the wall is to hold the window awning open.
