Multi day parking at an Airport July 26, 2022, 02:13:51 pm I’m returning home for 4-5 days, planning on leaving the Lazy Daze all bundled up in long term parking at Spokane Airport.Any advice to folks that have done this before?Or if I’m lucky, done it at Spokane?ThanksDave

Re: Multi day parking at an Airport Reply #3 – July 26, 2022, 03:30:30 pm I’d be terribly apprehensive to leave our LD in an airport parking because it would scream “I’m open for you to help yourself.” On one occasion that we had to leave the RV for a few days, we decided to leave it in a private CG. We talked to the owner and they said that would be just fine. And they’d keep a eye on it. I also like the idea of RV storage. Just my paranoid opinion. 3 Likes
Re: Multi day parking at an Airport Reply #4 – July 26, 2022, 04:56:08 pm A cat strap is on the list this fall, not going to happen before the flight on Thursday.Checked the indoor storage, only does monthly.Finding a campground close enough to the airport and available for five nights will be difficult and expensive. All great suggestions.

Re: Multi day parking at an Airport Reply #6 – July 26, 2022, 05:16:32 pm Leaving a rig in airport parking for any time at all, let alone for 4-5 days, is a *very risky* decision, IMO. If short-term secure space rental at a storage place isn’t available, maybe check for with an RV park or possibly an RV service shop? If you are an Elks member and the local chapter has RV parking, maybe check there, too? YMMV, as always. 2 Likes

Re: Multi day parking at an Airport Reply #8 – July 26, 2022, 06:16:01 pm I do not disagree that the airport lot is the last resort, but all the campgrounds I’ve checked in the area don’t have a spot for an entire week, the indoor storage linked above closed up shop.Did find a resort (Ruby’s) with empty parking spots for rent, 1.5 miles from their campground, unsecured, which isn’t sounding any better than the airport lot.

Re: Multi day parking at an Airport Reply #12 – July 26, 2022, 09:24:22 pm I would leave my rig at the airport paid lot and not think too much about it. Maybe ask airport security to keep an eye on it, although I don't know if they would. You can't get in or out of the lot without passing through a gate, which I think would limit the number of casual lookers. An alternative might be an off-airport paid lot like Fast, Park, and Relax. $20 in the hand of the security guy there would probably go a long way. At my airport, it's impossible to enter the off-airport lot without talking to attendants, and there are fences with razor wire surrounding the lot. Rich 3 Likes
