Solar panel specs for 2013 May 29, 2022, 04:19:15 pm I have the original two 100 W solar panels installed by the factory on my 2013 MB. I am thinking of adding another panel in parallel, assuming that the two original panels are in parallel. Does someone happen to know the specs (output voltage) on the original 100 W panels?
Re: Solar panel specs for 2013 Reply #1 – June 06, 2022, 07:29:12 pm Hi Keith; The solar panels provided by Lazy Daze changed rapidly year to year in that era. They probably were monocrystalline, 36 cell panels. You can just count the cells, 4 rows of 9 cells. The voltage per cell determined by the physics will be compatible with other 36 cell panels. Many now are 33 cell units (my Renogy panels are) and shouldn't be mixed with 36 cell panels. Most of theses are designed for 12volt systems and will add to wattage as long as they are wired in parallel. One 2015 unit I know of came with Zamp panels. 36 cell, and 100 watt each. They should be able to be paired with other 26 cell units. Shape and size is more of a problem to fit them on the roofs. Just one example, I don't know any specifics about these panels. The higher the wattage, the more surface area. 180 Watt 12V Monocrystalline Solar Panel | BougeRV Your controller is the HPV-22? RonB
