Covered Storage and Other Issues...
Today I received a call from the storage facility where I store my Lazy Daze and they have an opening for three sided covered storage.  The price will go from $30/month to $90/month, but it will probably help to protect the paint job that I had done in Puerto Penasco last winter.
Actually, I "just" got home a week ago today from Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico and already am experiencing "hitch itch."  It's freaking hot here in Las Cruces already and I want to at least use my NM State Park Pass to evade the fires and travel on short trips to cooler climates.  It's difficult to explain, but I feel the happiest when I'm camped out in my Lazy Daze.
Thankfully, I drove the almost 500 miles home without an incident and parked overnight at the Cracker Barrel in Tucson with no problems.  (OK, I "do" feel a little guilty as I walked from my RV to In 'N Out Burger for a carry out...)
OK, it's only money but I should get the covered storage, right?
On a completely different note, I wish the LaDeze of Lazy Daze met more than once a year.  I'd like to find like minded sisters to camp with from time-to-time...

My $.02 is that the covered storage price is a bargain and would be well worth it, especially given the extreme heat in your area.   So that's a yes.  And welcome home from a safe and productive trip!

Given I pay $427 a month for inside storage in the Bay Area, I’d say $90 is rather reasonable.  :-)

Thanks everyone - I know it's the right thing to do and I'm glad my investment will be safer from the harsh desert sun!

I was born and raised in SoCal, now living in Ohio over 30 years. I try to never pass up an In-N-Out opportunity!  :)

At the first meeting of the reactivated Great Lakes Group this month, half the rigs were driven by women on their own. I wonder what would happen if we just set some "Ladeze" destinations around the country at different times during the year? I live in Michigan, but expect to be in AZ/CA this winter....
(PS, I pay $115/ mo for covered storage, and it's worth every dollar to me.)

I'm paying about $435 for garage storage in Las Vegas - I agree it's a bargain.  But after my gas line was cut by vandals the garage gives me peace of mind.  And I can walk there from my house.
