Toilet
So my Dometic Sealand toilet wasn’t holding water. The local RV place said I should just buy a new one for $500 bucks. So I took off the bowl, soaked the rubber gaskets in warm soapy water, cleaned them and saw a 2mm piece of jagged rubber (the cause of the leak) near the lip. I shaved down the rubber smooth with a scissor, put the gaskets and bowl back on and….wah lah!…the bowl is holding the water again. My toilet bidet hose nozzle was also leaking. They said I should buy a new hose and nozzle for $80 bucks. I got a replacement nozzle for $10 at the hardware store. Saved myself almost $600!😁

Very IMPRESSIVE!  Talk about plumbing and hardware skills.  Thanks for sharing.

The toilet bowl is literally held down by gravity and one screw for the metal band going around the base. Super easy to remove the bowl.

While not the most pleasant job, the seals are not difficult to change or clean, the big, stainless steel band holds the top of the bowl on.
When changing the water valve and anti-siphon valve, it's sometimes easier to remove the whole toilet for better access and to give it a good cleaning, outside the rig.
