Installing hot water tank by pass
Hello,
We have a 1996 22' mid bath LD. I'm installing the Camco by pass kit on my hot water tank with one check valve at hot water outlet and a three way valve at the cold water inlet. The space to install is tight. LD had a check valve at the cold water inlet on the hot water tank. Due to the small install space, I cannot fit the three way valve on without removing the existing check valve. Is the check valve necessary on the cold water inlet? On the Camco install video, it does not show any check valve at the cold water inlet on the hot water tank. Again, is the check valve necessary at the tank on the cold water inlet?

If the check valve didn't have a valid purpose, LD would not have included it.
The check valve prevents hot water from migrating back into the cold water circuit.
I don't know if this is a show stopper but be aware that not including it will have consequences.
