Towing-Plugging the Holes
Another newbie to towing question (I have so many).  Since our toad also acts as a second vehicle, it occurred to me that it might be a good idea to plug up the breakaway cable receptacle and the Blue Ox attachment receptacles while not towing. Do you know if there are caps available to plug up those holes?

Well, the breakaway cable receptacle SHOULD ALWAYS have the pin inserted! The baseplate comes with plastic caps, which the installer should have provided. They can probably be requested from Blue Ox.

Thanks, Steve, as I did not know that. I went ahead and separated the pin from the coiled cable and inserted it.  I just noticed having the pin installed also eliminates the possibility of activating the air pump system if you accidentally turn the switch to the on position with your knee, something I realized yesterday. That wouldn’t be good going down the freeway at 65 mph!

I purchased the Blue Ox baseplate from Amazon and delivered it to my installer.  I don’t know if the caps were in the box or not but never received them. I’ll contact Blue Ox for some replacements.

Edit: found the caps on etrailer:
