Valve Extensions Assistance August 05, 2021, 03:53:31 pm We're buying new tires for our LD which have The Tire Man valve stems on the rear tires. The rubber grommets are at least 8 years old and should be replaced. I've not been successful finding these on the Borg website or on several other tire websites. Does anyone have a source for grommets? If I'm not able to replace just the grommets, then I'll need to buy a set of extensions for the rear tires. These seem to be the extensions I'll need ... See if they can supply new rubber washers for the stems. If the grommets are rotted, the stem's washers may be rotted too.Larry 1 Likes

I'm beginning to think the solution is all new hardware just to be overly cautious. I don't know ... maybe? I need to sleep on it.

TV-416LF Ford Cut-Away Series Valve - Nickel Hi Ed & Margie,I recently got the Dually kit for my round hand hole wheels and the front stems had a slight bend to make them easier to reach with the wheel trim in place. My service shop was really impressed with the Borg kit. "Best tire stems we've ever seen!" and they were going to check on becoming a retailer for their many RV customers. 1 Likes

Re: Valve Extensions Assistance Reply #5 – August 05, 2021, 10:19:16 pm I bought new rubber washers and stabilizers from Borg, I don’t have the specifics but they are available. Keep looking on their website.
Re: Valve Extensions Assistance Reply #6 – August 06, 2021, 12:31:23 pm Just as a follow-up, Borg CS called me back this morning and helped me to order grommets, stabilizers, and Loctite for six (6) tires. Total cost to include FedEx shipping was $39. The online sales person (Kelly) was especially kind and immensely helpful. I’m a happy LD Camper. 😍 4 Likes
