En gine Tuneups July 08, 2021, 12:47:13 pm My 2008 Lazy Daze with the V10 engine is due for the 90,000 mile tuneup. Service has been very thorough and consistent since day one, so I'm not sure what actually needs to be done. Any list of work to be done would be greatly appreciated. Also, I live in Ventura and have been unsuccessfully searching for a mechanic or RV shop to do the work. Any suggestions in the So. Calif. area would be appreciated. I'm certainly willing to travel for this job. Thanks in advance for your advice. Gale2008 Midbath towing a 2012 CRV.
Re: En gine Tuneups Reply #1 – July 08, 2021, 12:50:12 pm Is there a Ford Fleet Service Department near you? I’ve used the one in Rancho Santa Margarita (Orange County) and have been happy….not the cheapest….

Re: En gine Tuneups Reply #4 – July 08, 2021, 03:05:58 pm My 2003 came with a zip folder with an owner’s manual, a booklet containing the listings of maintenance services and intervals, and a 36-month “warranty guide”. Reading past posts from people who are second or third owners of an LD, it seems that some or all of the original manuals/documentation may be missing when the rig changes owners. I suggest checking the link posted above for the schedules of currently-recommended services and intervals for one’s model year and “use” factor.YMMV, as slways. 1 Likes
Re: En gine Tuneups Reply #5 – July 08, 2021, 03:10:35 pm I’ve been having my servicing done at South Bay Ford Fleet and Truck Center. RVs welcome. Chuck Moore has been my service advisor, but any of them should be fine. Don’t confuse this with the South Bay Ford auto dealership. Different locations. The Truck Center is at 13900 Hawthorne Blvd, Hawthorne 90250. Service number is 310-706-6200 generally, or Chuck’s direct line is 310-706-6213. I’ve found their work to be well done, at least as far as I can tell. My recent rear brakes job certainly felt good. My experience is that they don’t seem to try to oversell you, and prices are fair. Easy access. If you get there early (around opening), you should be turned around in several hours or so. YMMV, depending on what you’re having done. They have a spartan waiting room, and available bathroom. — Jon 4 Likes

Re: En gine Tuneups Reply #8 – July 09, 2021, 12:26:01 pm "Several locations in SoCal."---I think that the OP is in Ventura; no Rush near there. I did a quick search and suggested (to the OP) trying this place:RV Maintenance and Repair in Ventura | Ford of Ventura Service Center
