Service loop!!! June 25, 2021, 10:14:03 pm So I'm putting in a battery monitor and I have to run a line from the battery box to where the display will go. The batteries are under the right dinette seat and the display will go on the wall behind the left seat. I had to remove the wall under this section of the dinette to run the line and I have discovered that Lazy Daze is getting generous with their wiring. About 2 feet of extra wire where they connected the 12v outlet here. Also removing this panel was pretty easy. 6 screws and pull straight up with a bit of a bend in the plywood to clear the trim on the edge of the dinette. If only it was this easy to get to the back of the water heater in the RB so I can install a bypass. Well, can't win them all.Linda
Re: Service loop!!! Reply #1 – June 25, 2021, 10:45:48 pm Linda, I see you removed the dinette table to accomplish your project. I tried removing mine the other day to add some drawers underneath and couldn’t get the table mount (the round part) to release from the wall brackets. I ended up having to unscrew the lower wall brackets from the fabric covered wall. What’s the secret?
Re: Service loop!!! Reply #2 – June 25, 2021, 11:11:25 pm There is a white plastic piece that holds the wire support frame in place. Loosen that up and then pry the wire frame out of the bottom bracket starting from one end, and then continue by tipping it out. 2 Likes
Re: Service loop!!! Reply #3 – June 25, 2021, 11:19:47 pm Yeah, I saw the plastic piece. I was thinking the wire should just pop out with a yank. Didn’t think to pry it out. Thanks! 1 Likes
Re: Service loop!!! Reply #4 – June 26, 2021, 06:41:09 am Yeah, you'd think they put those white retaining clips in because of the possibility of that loop coming loose from the wall clips, not that you would have to use leverage to get it out. 1 Likes
