I think that is where my generator is. Do you not have a generator? At least that space has been put to good use for your cat!. Maybe that is the cabinet in the vanity, from the inside. It may have been an after purchase add on though I don't remember that receipt being with the others.So our bin under the battery is available for storage as well as the two long ones under the TK beds.Sounds like our inside vanity, just inside the door, is different also. We have a large cabinet from floor to countertop height, about 2' x 2'. Inside is power center components (with tons of room to spare, a drawer or two could easily be added). Our large convection microwave lives on top of that and there is a window then with a wall cabinet above it. Juanita, our cats have been indoor only cats. One is shy and doesn't want to go adventuring outside. The other one acts very interested in open doors but her name said "in that tone" makes her go the other way Jane

Installed the Camco screen protector and bought some fluted plastic cardboard from Home Depot to separate the cab from the coach to hopefully keep the cats out of the cab, at least while camped.Still thinking about a way to keep them out of the cab while driving. Don’t really want to cage them while driving even though that would be the safest way.

Give her catnip fifteen minutes before you hit the road and once she is done running around, she will remain calm throughout the journey. It is a natural cat sedative for travel. That is where they stay when in motion. The one in back sometimes rides in the cabover in the front passenger corner. My Tuxedo always tries to get in the front driverside corner. The female expects to ride on my wifes lap, passenger side in her cat bed. She is very interested in the view out the front and side windows. It took a little training to keep her off the floor, but she now seeks out the catbed on the passenger seat, even if my wife is driving separately. She is more restless if my wife isn't there because she can't see out as easily. She and the other two males do get up to drink or eat in the rear. And do use the catbox in transit as needed. Catdoor is behind the driver seat to allow access into the shower. In a TK behind the driver. They have access to the cab when we are parked, and often sun themselves on the dash mat. Cat beds in the driver and passenger seat during the day and they often sleep there at night. The cat tree moves to the kitchen area when the kingbed is set up and one cat sleeps there, or in the cabover. If it gets below 55 inside they end up in the bed with us. Re: Cats in the Cab Reply #66 – February 06, 2021, 03:58:04 pm I was down to two cats when I got the little Toyota Dolphin motorhome in 1990; I didn't want to pay a cat sitter while I traveled for a couple months or more at a time, so I planned to take the cats with me. I loaded them both into the rig, sat with them for a couple of hours while they sniffed and explored, then headed off for a short drive. We made it to a shopping center parking lot about a mile away; I parked and tried to comfort them. One cat immediately had turned to stone ("catatonic"); his eyes were the size of plates. Then he threw up and mewed pitifully. The other squalled, yowled, and hissed, fuzzing up and clawing and spitting; then she dropped into the driver's seat and pooped. We are at home but slept in the RV last night for the first time with them. They did pretty well for the most part. We left them inside by themselves and are now monitoring them with Blink cameras to see how they do. 1 Likes

Always better in the motorhome than by car, though. Our previous pair needed an available potty box to avoid disaster when traveling by car, but would retire to the bunk in the RV. Our current kitty flew forward to the driver's footwell the first time I pulled out of the driveway to hook up the toad. Since that incident she is fine but not happy, either curled on the coach floor somewhere or the co-pilot's lap. By car, co-pilot's lap. We don't feed her after midnight before driving, because anything in her system will come up.Steve 1 Likes

We were hoping to have made a couple of short camping trips with the cats as trial runs before we took them on a two week trip to the PNW starting next month but then our male broke his foot so we canceled those trips. He's almost 100% again so looks like our two week trip will be the real test. Could go really good, or really bad! 1 Likes
