Looking for ideas for cab insulation 30' TB
I am looking for ideas to "curtain off" the cab area to provide more insulation for hot and cold weather, without covering up the Entertainment area above the cab as well as keeping the space between the driver and passenger seats open for placement of the "fur kids" water.
As a visual learner, pictures of what you have done would be great!
Thanks in advance for all your help and suggestions!

This is what I've done, Juanita. The TV was off the mount for these photos, but you can see where it goes. Not perfect for TV watching, but the curtains can be placed around the TV and lifted a bit for water pans.

Juanita, just a thought on using wool blankets for cab drapes: Wool is a very good insulator, but unless the blankets are washable wool, they will likely get pretty grungy and hairy with dogs passing back and forth through them. (No insult intended toward your dogs, which may shed less than mine and be less resentful of "personal hygiene" procedures inflicted on her!)

I made a cab drape out of two layers of heavy denim; the firm surface of the fabric is a lot less of a "hair and dirt attractant" than wool or fleece; the double layer insulates, wears, and washes well.

YMMV, of course.

Joan, I will check to see if these can be washed! I recently inherited them from my close friends Mom's estate. Love your idea of using denim. My dad gives me all his old 501 jeans they would make a cool curtain!

Update.... I cut one of the wool blankets in half. Then cut slits in it to run the expandable rod through.
I will find a more pliable fabric for the coach door, maybe my dad's jeans!
These blankets are massive so I am gonna cut the other one in half do there are two for the twin beds on cold nights!

P.S.
Thanks again Chris and Joan for your input.  I love my new Lazy Daze family!

Juanita, I have a couple of blankets like the one you are using. The blanket is a historic “Trading Blanket”, or reproduction. I have two that I inherited from my great grandparents. I learned from my grandmothers and my love of the history of the Mountain Man, that these blankets were imported by the Hudson’s Bay Company and other trading companies during the 1830s to 1840s to be used in trading with native Americans. Hence, the blankets are commonly known as Hudson’s Bay blankets or Trading blankets. You may note several short horizontal stripes (6-10”) on the side. Those marks indicate the number of beaver pelts the blanket would have been traded for.

As washability, heavy wool should not be washed!!  Hang it outdoors to air and beat it with a blanket/rug wand to release dust and other particles but please, don’t wash it.

Enjoy your beautiful trading blanket drapes!

Thanks, Warren! I loved the history lesson! These are reproductions with JC Penny tags not sure how old they are, but I do know they were never used! Then I go and cut one in half! 😬

I came up with a different solution to a cab curtain for our 30’ IB LD. I wanted to be able to get into cabinets and utilize entertainment center TV/DVD when in use.
I use fleece fabric along with southwestern blanket and two short and on long tension rods.

I’m really happy with the out come 🚐😃
