Bigfoot leveling hydraulic hose replacement
My 2005 MB, has a hydraulic Bigfoot hose leaking. After 15 years of the hose rubbing against the the metal frame, it sprung a pin hole leak. I’ve removed the hose and it appears to have 3/8 JIC female end fittings, a plastic coating and is 20 inches long.
I checked Bigfoot’s web site and the shortest hose they have is 24”, but they don’t give the end fitting dimensions. Bigfoot’s cost for a replacement hose is $28.00 plus UPS shipping cost. That seems like an awfully  pricey hose price. Their shipping cost can be also exorbitant: I replaced a 10” foot pad at a cost of $30.00 for the pad and $40.00 for shipping.
My question is. Has anyone used an aftermarket hose for their Bigfoot leveling jacks?

Find a local hydraulic supply shop and have them make an exact replacement.
Many better auto and truck part stores, with machine shops, also have the machine for crimping on the end fittings, along with a section of fittings and hoses.
Can't give you a more specific answer where to have it done since your profile contains no information other than the model and year. It helps if members list their general location. We are not going to track you down.

Thank you Larry. I’m located in the Victorville area of So. Calif. I went on line since posting this thread and found a couple of replacement hose sites that offer 3/8” JIC female fittings 24” @ 5000psi for under $10.00. I may check into ordering couple of them if they’re braided stainless.
