Maintenance on old roof AC unit
A routine maintenance on the roof AC unit was overdue. I took the roof lid off and found the insulating  foam and side sound dampening foam falling to pieces. I started with spraying the coils with a spray foam cleaner for coils and spraying the contacts with a spray contact cleaner. Next, I scraped off all the old foam, used some acetone to remove old adhesive. After that I applied new foam stripping to all areas where the old was, I removed the foam panels from both sides, cut new ones from panels I picked up online and replaced those. I also put new filters on the AC unit on the interior of the coach. This is the original AC unit and it still works. Now it’s ready for another SoCal summer.
