New weatherstripping for coach door

I replaced all the weatherstripping on the coach doorway and door of my LD. Stripping off the old stuff was not hard but getting off all the old adhesive was a lot of work. I used Duck brand adhesive remover because it’s the best I can get in CA. I washed the entire doorway down with a grease remover followed by cleaning alcohol to get a clean, dry surface.
I ordered both of the flat and the D rubber weatherstripping from Steelerubber. It was pricey but I wanted quality product that will last. It went on really easily and I just took my time. The white weatherstripping that goes around the door I could only find on Amazon. I also replaced the vinyl screw cover strip that goes around the outside of the door. I’m hoping I won’t have to do this again for at least a decade.
I bought the weatherstripping from Steele Rubber Company.

It’s pricey but it’s great quality and should last, unlike the stuff I got from the trailer supply that fell apart immediately.
I used:
70-3859-99
3/4w x 9/16h peel n stick Large hollow half round sponge extrusion 14 feet
70-3846-277
3/8w x 3/16h peel n stick small ribbed extrusion
16 feet, including the threshold
white foam weatherstripping for the door I found on Amazon. It’s 1/2w x 1/8h
15 feet, including bottom of door
The vinyl screw cover I found on Amazon.
AP Products 011368 25' Flexible Screw Cover
5/8” wide, I needed 18 feet.
Be sure to MEASURE your door areas because your measurements may differ.

Also planning to redo weather stripping on the LD Coach door.

Existing Weather stripping on the door has just about disintegrated.

A specific part number for the rubber door weather stripping and length needed would be great Tracey, and thanks for the info.

I used this Frost King R534H about 3 years ago or so to replace the original weather stripping around the entry door that had turned into a crumbling, powdered mess. I scraped off the backing of the original stripping using a plastic 'putty knife', cleaned the surfaces well with acetone, then applied the new stripping from the frame bottom up, being careful not to stretch the rubber, especially around the rounded upper corners of the door frame. The stripping still looks good, has compressed very little, and seals the screen and entry door.

After I posted this information before, somebody said that they got 'Frost King' weather stripping, but that it didn't last. I asked if they had gotten the R534H or just whatever HD had on the shelf. Uh, yeah. Uh, no; there is a reason for providing the specific product number. And, this particular stripping may be available only online.

Yeah, that's the stuff that disintegrated on my coach doorway. Maybe it's the SoCal heat. The good news is it's super cheap at $0.29 a foot, so you can do it over and over again.

The *Frost King* R534H disintegrated? That really surprises me; Frost King has different grades and types of stripping, but the product I used has held up very well through all kinds of weather. It gets hot up here, too! 🥴
