Murphy Bed Pics
Removed both twin beds/storage in MB and built a Murphy bed to both make the rear lounge more comfortable and spacious.  Plan to put my fold down/drop leaf workbench against the side wall which can be flipped up when the bed is stowed.

Next up is finish sanding and veneering edges

Does obstruct some of view but not too bad.  I might put the frame on 6" stilts to open the back window view even more.

Finally, try to decide how/where to anchor and what material to use under the feet for best shock absorption.

Love the concept, looking forward to the photos of the final result as well as what it took to finish.

Not sure I could give up any of the window views to incorporate a Murphy, but it’s tempting.

I’m at a loss as to how you’re going to use the space. When the bed is stowed, what will you have in the space?  When the bed is out, where does that stuff go?  Just curious. — Jon

When the bed is stowed my butcher block workbench for leatherwork and small woodworking projects can fold up from the wall.  I also am working on making a couch.

Still planning things out but I'll post pics when done.
