Work is a four letter word.
And we all know what many 4 letter words can mean.

Although the article says that "many residents are retirees", it's a bit misleading.  There are also many families with children and many here do work full-time.  Race Communications came in a few years back and "gigafied" us which can accommodate remote working for those jobs that allow it.  It would not have been possible beforehand.

"Race Communications"

Okay, I'm with you now. My mind operates in slow-mo until I've had that 1st cup.

So now that I realize you are speaking of a cable/Wi-Fi company I'm good with the rest, contextually.   ::)

Yeah, they are fiber-optic.  We have the slowest speed and it's pretty fast for our needs.

I've been full timing now for more than 13 years.
For about 9 of those years I worked various computer jobs using the internet to work from wherever I had a decent cell signal.
My preferred lifestyle is to be away from people, yet within a reasonable distance to amenities.
Verizon cell service was OK back in 2008, not great but usually good enough to do the work, even in the boondocks.
Now, with the way the internet has exploded, I can get a great signal almost anywhere I want to be, with a few exceptions.

So, I guess what I'm saying is, that I don't need a city to work remotely, and prefer not be in them if possible.
