Re: Awning damage Reply #25 – July 16, 2020, 05:08:13 pm I finally got my awning repaired. I ordered the two shock absorbers and the eye from Fiamma. As it turned out, only the right shock absorber was broken; the left one is not broken and looks ok, and the awning works very well with one new and one old shock absorber. Would it be better to also exchange the left part (since I have it anyway)? I don't really see a reason to do that, but maybe there are good reasons to do it that I don't know about.KlausPS: I'm happy that the awning works again and was not difficult to repair.

Plastic ages with time and becomes brittle. Given that one failed I'd believe you can expect the second one to follow soon. I 2nd the motion to do it now! 1 Likes

Ours is a 2004 with the Fiamma, though it may be branded otherwise..Steve
