Micro-Start XP-10
Somewhere on here, there was a recent topic about portable jump starter batteries. [Forgive me, I seldom have success finding even recent threads once they leave the home page]

There are many low-cost lithium jump batteries on the market now. I do not know how many of them are worthwhile, but I know more than a few are worthless for starting a V10. Check YouTube for comparison testings.

Some years ago when lithium was a new thing, I paid up for a Micro-Start XP-10. They are not cheap, but I know they work. I disconnected the chassis battery and started the engine with XP-10 the day it arrived. Peace of mind.

I carry it in our tow vehicle, a Jeep, which we take many miles into the outback. It's nice to know we can self-rescue.

Yesterday, the chassis battery was dead. The LD had not been started in over a month and someone left the trickle charge off. The XP-10 had not been charged for well over a year, but the LED battery status lights showed a four and half out of five lights on. The V10 started right up.

The XP-10 is re-charged from a 12v socket. Not from an AC source. That may seem odd, but I like it. We are often off the grid and don't have AC if it needed to be recharged.

Our five-year-old XP-10 came with a 12-volt charging cable, along with a 120-VAC wall wart for charging.
It still works fine with recharging every six months. We also carry it in the Jeep since it goes with us on most trips.

Bought ours in 2015.........still going strong.......in addition to starting our own cars it's been used many times in helping strangers or co-workers....though my favorite time was helping out a craft beer delivery van driver in Ogden, Utah!!!
