RVs for Medical Workers
Just discovered a Facebook group for Frontline Healthcare Workers in need of an RV and RV Owners willing to lend out an RV.
Worth checking out! (and spreading the word)

I'm turning over the keys to our small boat (in its slip) to a medical professional who needs to shelter in place between her present assignment in one city and her next assignment in another city.  No driving the boat around, just a place to stay with a small galley, bed, head (bathroom), and a beautiful view of the harbor.  Because she is presently working on COVID positive patients, she can't return to live with her elderly and frail parents.

In the interest of full disclosure, she is my daughter...

Harold--

Glad you have a safe/comfortable/familiar place for your daughter to shelter.  Blessings to her & all like her who labor to keep us safe.   Prayers for safety & stamina, & as Judie says, "Virtual Hugs" to all.

Just heard this on NPR this morning: "One way to stay safe but get somewhere too? Recreational vehicles are perfect for self-isolating at 70 mph. Rentals companies say RVs are still in demand, for travel or as isolated living spaces."  The reporter felt a need to get to his elderly parents in Iowa & Cruise America was his ticket.  Most Vacations Are Off-Limits, But Not This Coronavirus Road Trip : NPR

My other daughter is a nurse.  Sadly, her hospital has 24 COVID patients and 48 nurses have contracted the virus, mostly due to highly contagious nature of the virus combined with inadequate PPE for the nurses and other professionals who care for them.

We will be taking her two young children to live with us for the next month to try to avoid them catching it.  Daughter and husband will miss their kids, and I'm sure there will be lots of whining from the little ones .  For a month.  I generally like children best boiled or fried, so it will be an interesting month. Ear plugs 24/7.

I told Cyndy that after a month with no children, we might end up with a third grandchild.

I can't say Greg.  The hospital admin is really sensitive about  information about health professional's infections getting out.  With two daughters at hospitals in two different cities, the stories are similar.  I suspect that it is the same everywhere.
