Escape Hatch Replacement
To those who have experience in this, what adhesive/sealant would you recommend? (I am looking at Dicor). Do I need to use butyl seal tape along  with the aforementioned? Tips and tricks?

The LD Companion Site mentions escape hatches but doesn't speak to using butyl. I remember using butyl tape when I swapped out my swamp cooler for a fantastic fan. Hope that helps.

I replaced only the plastic (or whatever it is) cover on my hatch.  Got it from the mothership.  Didn’t need any type of sealant.  I am really not sure exactly what is being replaced here.

In a related mater, I ordered a new hatch from the mothership, but delivery is delayed until they get more from the folks that make them.  I was not told how long.

We recently replaced the escape hatch plastic cover on our 2000 MB.

We purchased a replacement cover from the Mothership which included a small roll of higher density foam with stick on tape on 1 side. Cost was about $115 out-the-door with local pickup.

The sticky side goes on the underside of the cover and the non sticky side meets the roof forming the seal.

We also replaced the rear Fantastic Fan and cheesy bath fan complete assemblies at the same time. Maxxfans were installed. Extraction from the roof was time consuming but not too difficult. An oscillating saw was very helpful.

We used Loctite PL S40  White Polyurethane sealant. About 1-10oz tube per install. Easy to use.

BTW, the factory probably used  PARLASTIC to seal the original fan/vents. The Parlastic was still pliable between the roof and the housings.

I suggest painting your escape hatch, new or old, with UV resistant paint. Rattle can in your fav store.
This will dd a few years of life to the hatch.
