WEATHER STATION AND CLOCK February 29, 2020, 12:30:27 pm I am in the market for a new atomic weather station/clock/calendar-type of wall unit. A waltz through Amazon (using the Lazy Daze portal, of course !) provided a visual overload. I recognize the names of some of the brands, but know nothing of the quality of any particular one.Ideally, I would like to see time, day of the week, day/month/year, humidity, current indoor/outdoor temps, and high/low for the day, Can anyone suggest brands, or individual units that you have found to be particularly useful and reliable? I like it because it has big numbers that are readable from across the room and it doesn't take up much wall space. As I remember he bought several additional temp sensors and has them in his refrigerator and freezer. That way he can keep on top of any refrigerator issues.

Her eyesight must be better than mine, but I have to be within a few feet to read it. A good unit, and unlike one of the reviews, easy to set, mine is years old. It does have 'atomic' time. It listens to WWVB transmitted signals from the US atomic time clock standards NIST. The display Parussky mentioned in my LD is a Color Multi-Sensor Display with 4-Zone Capability (Display ONLY) – Weather... I chose the dark display option. The batteries are for backup, I found a 12v to 5v adaptor, and it is permanently wired in. Very low current draw, about 15 ma. While it does know about daylight savings time, the clock isn't 'atomic' synchronized. You have to set it. But is does keep excellent time. The labels I chose come from a built in list of 40 possibilities and are electronic, not like write your own label and stick it on the front. The display dims at 9:00 PM, and brightens at 7:AM. Pretty bright at night, easy to dim to off, just a touch on the top. This one comes with the outside sensors. Temperature and Humidity Station with 3 Indoor/Outdoor Sensors In the instructions they recomment lithium batteries AAA for the freezer remote. Regular alkaline can't take the zero degrees well. The indoor one is built into the 'base' unit. I hang the outdoor one on my mirror arm, so I won't forget and drive away from the campsite without it. I have an older one Acurite 1099Rx that isn't availble anymore.(used maybe) I bought it and a spare at Costco years ago. It has large numbers About 1" high, So I can see it quite a ways away. A momentary backlight from a button on top. An oddity is it records the 'low' temperature at midnight, even if is much lower at 2 or 3 AM. Kind of misleading. The 6024M is great except for the need for constant outside power. Residential is good. Motorhome; my solar is very capable of powering it without a problem. RonB

The 1st one died of old age when the numerals faded away. It replaced the analog type that came stock with my '04. So, no - just a vanilla clock/calendar/weather station that I can look at on the inside of a our Lazy Daze when I am also inside of it.I haven't really investigated, but from what I have seen in pictures, all of this information might very well be available on my wrist in an Apple Watch!Virtual hugs,Judie
