Removing Velcro Adhesive from Lazy Daze Lauan(Luan) Walls
A weather station monitor I had Velcroed to the LD wall fell off when the LD got very hot inside last summer. Left on the wall was gooey, melted Velcro adhesive, which is now pretty dry. Any tips on how to remove this residue? I could Google this, but hope that someone has LD specific LD advice.

This is my go to adhesive remover.

Won't harm the luan, on a vertical surface I wet a paper towel and hold it against the glue until it softens. Multiple applications can be necessary if the glue has dried. If it is not true luan test in an inconspicuous place first.

Chris,

I’ve used WD-40 over the years to remove adhesive residue but not on the interior walls of the LD.

Here is a video of a guy using Tiki-Torch oil to remove dried tape residue. https://youtu.be/yYCD2Qmj06M  Not exactly where your issue lies but it may be an alternative.

As with many cleaners or spot removal products, it is advisable to try the product in an inconspicuous location first. Perhaps a wall panel behind the toilet near the floor.

Good luck with your project.

X2 for Goo Gone. Of course, test an area out of sight first.
