That's good news for a world that could use something to laugh about.

"After 25 years of not creating any new comics Gary Larson has given in. "

I have been on a Facebook group for a few years that was to post a strip every day, but I haven't seen any for a while.

Do you know if the ones noted in your URL are purported to be new offerings, or, as with the Facebook group, just a post by someone showing a random strip?

I'm in!!!

I have been hoarding one of those daily flip-over calendars with one of his cartoons for every day for YEARS!  Maybe as many as 15, as well as one of George Carlin's "sayings" from 2006.  You're supposed to tear it off daily, but . . . what heresy to do so!

Judie, Did you sneak in that your hip replacement is today? Well, may the force be with you! I will keep you in my thoughts. Also interesting is the amount of people that enjoyed Gary Larsen also enjoyed the humor of George Carlin. Rest Easy, Sharon

Glen,

Thanks for posting this.  I have fond memories of driving from Northwest Arkansas down to Port Aransas Texas (700 miles<>) with my partner and her three teens in a van more than once, passing around Gary Larson books, laughing out loud, a lot!  I have a few favorites, but my most memorable, though maybe not completely accurate, is with a monster standing at the front door, two worried kids looking out the window, mom answering the door and saying, "why yes, we do have children here that won't eat their broccoli".  Wonderful!!

Whoo-hoo...great news!  My personal favorite has a trail of ants moving through the grass & the lead ant hissing "Shhh...stop that crunching noise!" with the upraised toe of a shoe poised over the rear of the column along the left side of the panel.

I didn't know Berkley Breathed was back, too...off to scour the interweb for chortles, chuckles, & guffaws.

RE: "Also interesting is the amount of people that enjoyed Gary Larsen also enjoyed the humor of George Carlin. Rest Easy, Sharon"  Anne Shirley (of Green Gables fame) spoke to the value of "kindred spirits" & LDO is a testament to that sentiment!

Good thoughts to the hip, Judie, & all that's attached to it.

Thanks, Sharon.  But, no, not yet.  Scheduled for 1/27/20, and it can't come a moment too soon.  I'll keep your kind wishes tucked away for another month, and then I will put them to good use!  ;->

Regarding Sharon and Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables):

As a tyrannical and disfunctional parent (according to my children), I eliminated TV from our home from 1985 until the last kid left in about 2009 (although they keep returning).  We did keep a TV with a VCR player and the kids were able to watch Anne of Green Gables, the Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, MASH, and a few others series.  Me: "Don't like it?  Read a book, play a sport, or go outside and play." When my kids heard that Sharon was a Lazy Daze owner, they exclaimed "Will she be at the get together?  We want to meet her!"

One more celebrity in our midst!
