Forgot to turn off fridge and heater before unplugging propane

Hi everyone, today I went to refill my propane tank and I forgot to turn off the fridge and the hot water heater. Now the hot water heater won’t start and the green fridge A/C light isn’t coming on.

I’ve run gas through the stove to get any air out on the lines. What should I do?

Afraid I cannot be of any help concerning your problems outside of waiting a bit longer to see what happens. It may be that the gas has not yet reached your appliances.

Two things I do: 1. I never light my hot water heater unless hot water is needed.
2. I some times forget to turn fridge off prior to LP refill and have never had an issue thereby.

I do not see why any 'air' could have gotten into the 'lines'!

Me too. I had forgot to shut it off when u plugged the tank. Maybe it just takes some time to get to these units.

I am like Steve.

Water heater is only on what actively heating water about once a day. Locational he has gotten forgotten and left on. But we happen to never take out propane tank at those times.

We have many times forgot to turn the fridge off, even though we wrote on our tank - turn off the fridge before you take this out - LOL. We have never had a problem getting the fridge or any other device to start back up.

When the fridge has been off and we are on shore power, we do have to push the button a couple of times so it's not on auto and it is on gas, The fridge does check repeatedly for about 45 seconds. And when it cannot find propane it turns on the check light. You may have to turn on or turn off and on a couple of times to get it to check again for propane, again make sure it's on gas and not electric.

Keep trying. Make sure the propane is back on

Run the stove (as you did) and the heater to get propane flowing.

On the fridge, does the orange 'check' light come on? On my 2003, that's an indication that it tried to light on propane (you can hear the sparking) and it didn't catch. AC indicates it's plugged into shore power or generator and not running off propane.

I expect to do this most times when the propane valve has been closed for a while (storage).

Did the propane station operator close the tank valve?

The regulator connection should have a high flow shut off. Reset it by closing the tank valve, burning off the gas in the pipe lines at the stove, then slowly open the tank valve.
Check for leaks at the regulators.
Turn the fridge and heater electrically off then back on.

If the gas is on for the refrigerator, and the gas tank valve is turned of, the burners on will run out of gas. because the thermocouples stay warm for awhile, air will backfill the gas lines. In a TK my refrigerator is on the other side (passenger) than the cook top burners. Running the burners will help, but there is still a 6 or 7 foot line, under the floor, to the 'frige and water heater next to it, to purge out air, and get to propane. The mixture has to be close in order to light the pilots. It takes a few resets of my 'frige (check light) to get back to pure enough propane to relight. Also with the water heater.
Not sure what you mean by "green A/C fridge light". Normally A/C means Air conditioning. If you meant AC as is 110Vac, what does that have to do with propane status? RonB

Jacob,
One other thing in case two things happened at the same time.
You need to have 12v at the coach for both the fridge and water heater circuit boards to work.
That means either good battery or
shore power and the power center charger is running (breaker is on, it works ok).

I tripped over this one early on - all worked fine on shore power. I came off shore power off, - batteries were not good, and all of a sudden the fridge didn't work and I didn't know why.

A test - check if the lights or water pump come on - they are 12v also.
If they come on, you have 12v to the coach.
