Re: LDNW. Gathering Reply #2 – July 25, 2019, 10:16:22 am Rest A WhilePersonal Review(must know information about us to explain our self interest on this review ----LB and I are what we call 'hermit campers. We travel to a spot and grow roots. We have no toad. LB knits and I read. We take long walks about the camp spot. We just soak up the surrounding space. This is a link to a created 50 sec movie of this trip to get a scene of our style. 6 day trip into Washington placesWith all that in mindOverall a nice place. Camp spots on smallest. Hookups are in rear of camping space. We had full hookups. I could not find a dump station. Bathrooms were clean. My shower was hot but I did have reports of broken and cold showers. For the price everything should be prefect. Would I go back - no BUT this isn't my camping style in the first place. glen 2 Likes

Re: LDNW. Gathering Reply #4 – July 25, 2019, 06:50:28 pm I have been to the Olympic Penisula. Fishing from boats out in the ocean can be great but waters can be very rough also (DH went out, very little fish caught, many people struggled with sea sickness, it was an especially bad day). There is crabbing but the real success is the first couple of weeks of the season. We were late in the season and everything was undersized, yet fun. It was my first crabbing experience and between me and the dog we would have made a great funniest video tape. Me trying to measure crabs while corralling other crabs trying to escape, the dog coming to see the fun and knocking over the bucket of water meant for kept crabs - onto me of course. Over all very entertaining if anyone was watching. And for me - but no crabs big enough to keep.Huge sea lions (over 8 tall and very big around) jumping up on the piers telling (very loud yelling from that sea loin) the crabbers to back off and give me your crabs (one guy faced him down, I thought that was foolhardy but he did save his crab). I figured that sea lion was lazy and it was easier to steal crabs than catch them himself - there were lots and the sea lion would not care about size restrictions. And just enjoying the ocean views. On the cold blustery side even though it was summer, but less populated than the bay area of Washington.
