Lazy Daze Cupholders
Looking at the cab photo (below) from the Lazy Daze website, it appears that the cupholders might be a bit intrusive when traversing the coach from the cab seats. Have owners of newer models found this to be the case? Can the cupholder section be removed, if so?

Ford has offered a number of different console/cupholder modules on the E-series vans over the years, ranging from minimal to huge. They mount onto a set of studs on the engine cover ("doghouse"), and can be interchanged. You can find these on eBay or in salvage yards, so if you don't like what you have, you can change it.

The one you mentioned is actually not as bulky as it looks. Because it doesn't reach the floor, you can easily slide your feet past it. I switched from a different type to this one in my midbath, and I liked it.

Greg,

I have no trouble navigating the cupholders. I’ve never struggled much getting past them. My problem is my size 12 shoe getting hung up on the dog house release mechanism or squeezing and twisting my ankle at that spot. 🤨

It’s a small price to pay for LD ownership.

I’ve had zero issues...the pic makes it seem from that angle to be more intrusive than it actually is....now regarding the backup camera screen...I have close to a 100% success rate in hitting it with my head!!!

My DW hit her head rather hard “once” on the monitor. It took her to her knees in quite a bit of pain. This was all it took for me (wish I had thought of it much sooner) to build a wrap around pad to soften the edges of the monitor.

I used a “sheep’s wool” steering wheel cover and stitched it together to wrap the monitor edges.

I recently found a similar cover at the Dollar Tree that stretched around the monitor very nicely. Now I have it double padded. Works great. If struck with one’s head, you will certainly know it, but it shouldn’t take you down as badly as before.

Here are the pics I posted some time ago.
