Electric Step Motor
I am fairly new to RV'ing and learning a LOT along the way.  What I do know is I LOVE my LD.  First RV and I chose well.  Anyway, we encountered the dreaded electric step issue...the very loud sound when it opens or closes.  I have determined through you tube that I need to replace the motor.  Does anybody know the part # for this motor?  I have the 2014 MB.  Help!

Do you have the manual/"literature" for the electric step? If so, there should be a parts list in the paperwork with numbers for the specific step model.

I bought used.  I am not sure if I have the specific manual for the step.  Would that info be in the black manual I did get?  My RV is stored and I am not with it at the time of posting.

What are the symptoms that make you think the motor is bad?
Unless something is broken, many times a good cleaning and lubing is all the electric step needs.

The electric steps have used different motors through the years, our electric step uses an 12-volt power window motor.
The motor and gearbox are not well sealed and dirt an other debris can jam the works, our step assembly has been disassembled a couple times for cleaning, over the last 16 years.
Our step is all original except for the magnetic reed switch that cause the step to extend or contract when the door is opened and closed.
Your LD should've come with packet containing the various owners manuals for everything in it, including a sheet for the power step. It should show the model number.
On the step itself, there are part numbers listed,  one on the control box,  another on the gear box and usually a tag on the step's metal base, all visible for beneath the step.
