caulking material question
I have some hairline cracks in caulking I'd like to feel in.   Also, some paint chipping off the roof edge exposing...  a caulking material I assume.  I can clean up the chipping paint easy enough and fill in the area with caulking.

Is the Loctite PLS40 the same as Loctite PL (Pro Line Polyurethane)?   A name change ?   Found the PL at Home Depot but no PLS40 in sight.

Would 3M 4200 or 5200 be good for filling in the hair line cracks in caulking?  This is a 2016.     Thanks,   Frank

Photos would be appreciated so we can see exactly what the situation is.

PLS40 - Last fall I had bought all of the tubs at the local Home Depot but was still a few tubs short for my project.  The store ordered more.  I went back a few days/week or so later, but the label on the tube changed.  Gone was the S40.  The old and new tubs have the same UPC number 79340 68920.  It appears to be the same product.

PLS40 is now just PL since the numbers match.   A good thing to know if you're  looking for PLS40.    The label now reads  "PL
Pro Line Window Door & Siding Polyurethane Sealant".     Frank
