I probably should start a new "Kodiak" thread.  The Kodiak Kent had pictures of looks like the one I bought in Texas this past November. IB (the only one made) 30K miles, in great shape. I'm taking it in to the Mothership next month for a roof re-seal and new batteries. This is our 3rd LD. in 47 years ('72 17-1/2' on a Dodge; 2000 26.5 on Ford (7.3 diesel) and now the Kodiak).
We had two SOB's between the 2000 and the Kodiak. LD workmanship tops them all. The Kodiak is meeting our needs for full-timing. Lots of storage.

To answer other questions: Vortec 8.1 and yes, it does ride a bit like a truck but then it is. Not bad though. I wish it were a diesel. Our 2nd LD was a 7.3 diesel. Loved it. It did not have the problems of the later PowerStroke diesels.
