Swivel passenger seat April 15, 2019, 04:54:12 pm I've seen a number of "Old" posts about installing a passenger swivel for the seat.Has anyone done this in recent years?
Re: Swivel passenger seat Reply #1 – April 15, 2019, 06:51:39 pm I replied to an emailer who asked me about mine a few months ago. He followed my tips from back when I did it following the tips on this forum in 2016. So, I believe everything is still current - though the price probably changes a little for the base.Hope this helps,Jim & DebSanta Cruz, California
Re: Swivel passenger seat Reply #2 – April 15, 2019, 08:16:07 pm Yep. I did it in an RB. There really isn't enough room with a passenger side couch. Sliding the couch a few inches back from normal the seat will swivel facing back into the aisle. We never use it.
Re: Swivel passenger seat Reply #3 – April 15, 2019, 11:08:11 pm Yes I did it last Spring in my new to me 2003 T/K. It works good. I followed what was posed on this site. It does take a bit of skill to turn the chair around. If I remember correctly: First seat has to be all the way forward. Seat back has to be tiled forward. Then you have to remember which way to rotate it. Passenger side door has to be open a bit for rotation. Once rotated, seat has to be slide back and back of chair tiled back to a seated position and door shut. If the chair is not tiled just slightly the door will hit the arm rest.JohnF2003 T/K and 1987 MP w/Roof Sleeper
Re: Swivel passenger seat Reply #4 – April 16, 2019, 02:17:52 am The Twin/King is the only floor plan where a swivel seal works well. Consider how the seatbelts will work when the seat is rotated. If a rotating seat works in your 2019 LD, it makes a comfortable place to read.Larry
