I wanna see some posts about the Morro Bay GTG!!!
Please let me live vicariously! I thought I'd see something on the LD pages I follow on FB, but nada.

Was the weather better down there than it has been up here in the bay area?

Share!!

Thanks,

We had rain and glorious sun. I think everyone had a good time. This sort of sums it up (thanks to Wendy Harris for the pic). — Jon

Nice shots!  Was it a smaller than usual gathering this year?

The 2019 MB gathering was smaller than in some past years; there were some last-minute cancellations due to the predictions of rain and also because life sometimes interferes with one's plans to attend an event. I don't know how many rigs were there, but the Lazy Dazes were accompanied by four LD 'alumni' who now have Newmars. LDs were dispersed among other campers; there was no specific area exclusive for our use.

'Parussky's' last photo is of one of the two tech talks; fewer attendees for those than I expected, but still a good number. The Thursday afternoon 'social' drew a good number of early arrivers and the potlucks were very well attended; big spread variety and lots of appreciative comments.  There were four canopies set up for the potlucks and propane fire pits for rain shelter for post-feeding socializing.

People came and went, some on their own, some with other attendees; many explored the area, ate at the Bayside (and other local restaurants), kayaked, hung out and socialized, walked Black Hill, the boardwalk around the estuary, and other 'trails', and visited others' rigs.

Yes, it was chilly and it rained off and on, but people know to bring rain gear and nobody melted! The hills and everything else were very green, and the park workers were even mowing the growth at the campsites, something that doesn't happen in a dry year. The sun was out Saturday for quite a while, and knots of people stood out in groups (usually in the road  ;) ) chatting and enjoying the 'between showers' time.

I had a good time catching up with many who were there, and my dog loved seeing her 'people'; she is currently in her post-event funk due to an absence of petting hands.  ::)

Most seemed to enjoy themselves; if you missed it this year, try again in 2020!  ;)

Alice,

Here are a few random shots of Morro Bay and the GT. As a “newbie” of sorts, I was made very welcome by everyone. For that I am very grateful. A handful of us are traveling to Jalama Beach today and we will, no doubt, have another fine LD gathering.

Wish you were here.

Love it!

Thanks for the pics and summaries.

Turns out I may be moving back to my house, which has not  yet received a satisfactory offer, and staying in my LD for a month. That way I can keep my stuff in storage, not pay rent on a sublet, AND see what it's like to actually live in my RV, i.e. use all the appliances, etc.

We shall see... I hope to get to  GTG this year.
