BACKGROUND

Because of its strategic location on what became known as the Cumberland Road though the Appalachians, after the American Revolution it served as a historical outfitting and staging point for westward emigrant trail migrations throughout the first half of the 1800s. In this role, it supported the settlement of the Ohio Country and the lands in that latitude of the Louisiana Purchase. It also became an industrial center, served by major roads, a canal connecting to Washington, DC, and railroads Industry declined after World War II. Much of the later urban, business and technological development in the state has been concentrated in eastern coastal cities.

I hope somebody that's one of us old guys looks up the earlier meaning of the term "cornhole" and maybe stop using it?  There is a lot of questionable language and terms out of the past that have since become legitimised. I won't go into detail but if you Google that term you'll find out what I mean

This is a fun group.  I thought I was going to be elsewhere this year but that trip is delayed. So the good news for me is I’ll be able to visit (using a Sam Huff term) West - by God - Virginia and do the other trip (daughter’s oral defense of her dissertation).  I didn’t finish college, so her success is a big deal to me.

Good morning
Hello NE group. We just wanted to touch base with you guys.   We are the West Virginia Wanna-be's that visited with you at the Williamsburg rally last year.  We would like to visit at your rally again this spring.  We have been in contact with Todd at the Mother ship and we are going to order a 27 mid bath.  Todd is going to  contact us in the next few months so we can time our pick up in the spring of next year.  We enjoyed our visit last year.  The visit and this web site helped us in our decision making process on what type of home on wheels  we wanted.  Of course, the LD won!  Hope to see you soon.

Looking forward to seeing you again John and Steph.  I do remember you.  We have other wannabes coming as well, who will stay in their tent.  Have you found a nearby motel?  Hope you can stay for the entire 5 days this time.  You will learn a lot at our tech talk and will enjoy our other activities as well.
