TireMinder TPMS transmitter rubber gasket
I would like to replace the TireMinder transmitter rubber gaskets and batteries annually for preventative maintenance.  Anyone know what else I can do besides buying the rubber gaskets from the Minder company directly.  They want $15 plus $5 shipping for 10 of the gaskets (which they call rubber nozzles), and I think both charges are very high for this item.  Thank you!

I used thread tape so the fit seems water tight.

Thread tape sounds like a very good idea.  Thanks!

One thing to remember during your annual TPMS service (we have the Tire Minder TM66) is to be sure to put the sending unit/sensor back on the same tire when it’s all over and done. This is especially true if the tires are being rotated.

Your Tire Minder will not know that a sensor has been moved. This means the rear, right outside dually unit (if moved inadvertanly to the inside tire or the opposite side of the rig) will still be displayed as the rear, right outside dually on the Monitor which could be confusing when a signal is displayed and you are looking at the incorrect tire.

I have labeled the inside cover of the sensor to insure things go back on where they belong.

Tire Minder does include a locking ring that can help prevent sensor theft but this can be a real PITA if you need to remove the unit when adding air.

Since I added the flow through valves, I can add air without removing the sensor.  This really speeds up airing up the tires and physically checking air pressure. Now I use the locking ring. Previously I left them off.

Tire Minder often sends out specials for battery and gasket replacement if they have your email address. I bought a complete set of gaskets last year for about $5.00 plus a nominal charge for shipping.
