22 year old Dometic fridge, finally failed
I bought my Lazy Daze 11 years ago. Having heard all the horror stories of fridges failing in 5 to 7 years, I have been waiting for mine to fail.
Spent the last few days in Death Valley, it was pretty toasty, I was also below sea level at times.
I have no idea if this pushed it over the edge, but it finally leaked last night.
Looking at the label on mine to get the info for a new one, I saw that it was made in of all places, Sweden.
Maybe that's why it lasted so long, probably an expensive place to manufacture things, so hopefully made better.

Luckily, I am in Las Vegas and the Camping World has one and can install it today.
Pretty pricey, but I feel I got my moneys worth out of the old one.

It's the first appliance to fail on my 22 year old unit. Everything else works as it should.

You definitely got your money's worth.
The older refrigerators were built better. Our 1983 LD's refrigerator lasted 20 years, dying a month before our new LD was to be delivered.
The 2003's refrigerator died on blazingly hot day at the age of 12 .
I never replaced any of the other appliances in either rig.
The refrigerators are, by far, the most trouble prone appliance, with the water heater coming in second.

Camping World in Vegas was very good today.
They got me in and had the fridge out in no time.
Replacement came from other store across town and in it went.
They had a flat rate of 3 hours and it took less than 2 of actual work.
I'm happy, back on the road same day, that is getting hard to find for RV repairs.

It's an outlier.  Send it to the RV museum!
