Do you save the original parts when reconfiguring
I’m thinking of cutting down the dinette seat back behind the passenger seat on our mid-bath. My tall husband can’t really fit in the passenger seat plus I would love for it to swivel. I don’t want to remove the whole bench seat because I need the the under seat storage. But the wide seat back seems like more than we need.

So the question is for people that have removed things like a sofa or dinette, do you save the pieces to put back later for sale?  Or do you not worry about it and just make it the way you want?

I save everything, because I have the space.  Eventually, when I’m convinced I would not revert, and am in paring down mode, I start to judiciously sell, give away to junk the old stuff.

I don't think you have ever taken anything LD built apart. I doubt there will be anything to save because you will destroy it taking it apart.

I am 6'4" and have no issue with sitting in the passenger seat.

In my husband’s defense I should add that he’s had eleven back surgeries. And the 250+ might have something to do with it!  We had a 1992 midbath and moved up to a 2004 which has helped some but I’m looking for a little more. We tried installing the swivel base for the seat but there just isn’t enough room to turn the seat. I find that odd since both seats swiveled in the 1994 which has less space!  I’m thinking the seats must be larger although they hardly look it.

I will say that we are glad that the previous owner saved all the parts from their reconfiguration.  In our Mid bath they took out the drivers side twin and put in a desk and filling cabinet.  They saved all the cushions and parts and pieces. We were able to remove their desk and restore the twin/king sleeping area. We use that all the time.
