"We have two of them in our back yard, but don't have one for the Lazy Daze. They are just as advertised - very easy to use, and seem of good quality. Will be glad to hear your feedback on the RV model if/when you get it. I don't see why it wouldn't be superior to the more gangly white hoses that we use currently, but I've been wrong before! Re: Zero-G RV and Marine Hose Reply #2 – May 06, 2018, 02:41:49 am I have a similar one - not sure of the brand - that I use to rinse out black water hose and when needed to pass through the bathroom window to "wand" the tank down through the toilet. It's certainly a lot lighter & easier to maneuver than a regular hose. And it takes very little space in its collapsed - non water filled - state. Very handy. Susie 1 Likes

I don't have one of these hoses, so I don't how well it works or how durable it is, but it appears to be a safe drinking/cooking water conduit. 1 Likes

Without any technical documentation describing why the white RV drinking water hoses differ from generic garden hoses, I'm not sure that any of them are really completely safe. The generic garden hoses sometimes offer the caution "do not drink from this hose". The white camco hose says it is safe to drink from.... who would know?I'm a cautious creature of habit.

It states that it is lead free so that’s a plus. One was the high end version with brass fittings. Looked great and lasted...about two months maybe a bit longer. The typical failure was a burst in the line. It is ubiquitous as a water pipe material for irrigation and some water systems and considered "generally" safe, but if one burns it, it releases dioxin in the smoke which is a really nasty carcinogen. Worse than that, dioxin triggers oncogenes, the genes on one's DNA that code to cause cancer at some point. Dioxin activates oncogenes and is highly carcinogenic and teratogenic (induces nasty birth defects, Greek derivation is "monster-causing").Dioxin induces expression of c-fos and c-jun proto-oncogenes and a large...My concern with water hoses that aren't safe for drinking is that water that sits in the hose, especially in a hot environment, can pick up nasty organic chemicals as they offgass from the hose and into the water. None of these compounds are good for us to ingest. Remember that good "hose taste' when we drank from the garden hose as kids in the summers?Perhaps I'll just carry the water from the fresh water spring to the Lazy Daze in a wooden bucket... Better yet, put a still in the Lazy Daze and drip it back into the water tank!

It is my understanding that the white hose has a liner to keep water from contacting the vinyl. Another reason to just use the hose infrequently to fill the 'generally recognized as safe' polyethylene water tank, that is built into the motorhome. RonB

I bought two of the “quality” hoses and the one in the sun lasted months. The other, kept in a garden box, has lasted over two years. I’ll stick with my tried and true white water rated hose.Jules

We have had the same bad luck with our "quality" retracting garden hoses. I hate them, DW loves them. We just keep the receipts and take them back to Home Depot whenever they burst.
