New Fan for the Lazy Daze (O2Cool)

We'd been searching for some time for a fan to help move air while Hot-Weather Camping.  Some months ago, we bought an 02Cool 10" fan with an AC & DC Adapter, a USB Charging Port, 8-D battery and a built-in rechargeable batteries with a Smart Power feature.  The Smart Power feature automatically selects the best source of electricity to use.

It's a great fan, quiet, and pushes enough air to help us stay comfortable between the cycles of the air conditioner.  And of course, it's going be helpful when dry camping because of the two (2) battery sources and the 12V plug.  As my youngest son often says ... sweet.  I'd say it cool!

Ed - we bought two of those and agree with you!!  We were just dry camping in 90+ temps in SoCal a few weeks ago and had one running at the rear of our 31' in the bedroom area and one running in the dinette area....worked well!

Could you please tell us how "quiet" the fan is? For example, do you need to turn up the TV when the fan is on and near you (our LD is only 24' so we will be close to it)?

Also, is it quiet enough to sleep with it running?

Last question: where do you store it when you're driving down the road and all packed up? It looks pretty big in the photo but maybe it's an illusion.

Jim - during the recent trip my wife (a very light sleeper) slept with one on right next to her.....they are pretty quiet as fans go...I didn't have to blast Black Sabbath to drown out the noise from two running!!  LOL

We certainly agree with Bill.  The fan is a 2-speed and the lower speed is exceptionally quiet which I enjoy.  We place the fan in the rear of the coach drawing cool air off the floor towards the ceiling near the bathroom.  I'm unable to hear the fan while sitting at the dinette table.  Hope this helps.

Looks good. We have used the more expensive Fan-tastic fan for years. It is quiet. It is 12volt only, lacks 120volt or D-battery power and no USB port.

Jim, when traveling we lay the fan down on the rear lounge. The fan’s feet fit into the cushion’s tuck space.  (I don’t know what to call that roll and tuck space).   Stays put during the last 800 miles or so.

That's good to know. We don't have as much lounge area, so if we decide to get a fan, we'll probably put it on the cabover bed since we don't use it for sleeping but only for storage.  But knowing it can be carried the way you do could come in handy.
