Hi Gary,

We're in central Texas and trying to stay either within practical driving distance within the state or a single-leg flight out of state.
Vegas or Reno are probably as far west as we would like to go, just in terms of having to drive the unit home.

Our first choice is the same as yours, 26.5 IB on the 14,050 Ford chassis. I'm not sure exactly what year LD switched from the lighter chassis to this one; the RV Buyers Guide (aka green book) shows 95's were on the 11,500 version (with highway control numbers only in the 50's!) and 98's on the 14,050 but don't show any years in between to know exactly when the switchover happened. If we found a good deal, we'd rank the 26.5 mid-bath our second choice, the 30' third (missed out on a nice one of these last week), and the 23.5' twin/king 4th.

There's just the 2 of us plus 2 cocker spaniels and we're a ways from retirement so no trips over 2 weeks are in the forseeable future. That makes 30' more length than we would prefer to deal with but 23.5' a little light for the amount of stuff we'd like to have payload (and safe margin) for.

When we first started looking, we were willing to consider a couple of other manufacturers as well. Now, as I'm sure you're finding as well, the more we research the more obvious it becomes that Lazy Daze really is the only one we'd seriously consider.
