Refrigerator scare
Went out this morning to fire up the refrigerator and it refused to light even after multiple attempts. Started the generator  the refrigerator seemed to work fine on AC. Owners manual said if it won't light on gas after several attempts  it's broke. Not a pleasant feeling in my stomach and I could feel my BP going up. Then i got to thinking and the prior afternoon we had the most violent hail storm I've ever seen with marble size hail coming down in sheets. There was mud splashed clear up on the windows of the LD. I opened the outside hatch to the refrigerator and sure enough lots of water in there which seemed to have splashed up through the down facing louvered vent. I dried things out and blew on the area where the flame is supposed to be to dry it out and tried the refrigerator again. Lit right up and has been running all day and getting cold. Whew!!!!  Did NOT want to buy a new refrigerator and  4th of July vacation is still on. :D

Miracles come in so many unexpected, serendipitous ways...I always celebrate the spontaneous regeneration of inanimate objects--though in your case it was knowledge & TLC that brought about the resurrection.   ;)

Thx for sharing your thought process as you were troubleshooting--I'd have never thought of it being something so relatively simple (relative being the operative word, as opposed to replacement).

Have a wonderful trip.
