I FINALLY GOT MINE.
I finally got mine. I bought a used LD for my daughter. She sold it and keep the proceeds. I then bought my son an immaculate 98 mid bath. He loves it but does not use it much so he ask me if I wanted to keep it in the family. You bet. We are snowbirds and can’t wait to get back to see it in the north west. My one concern is the driver’s compartment with the frig up against the seat. I am 6’2”about 240. Are there any big guys out there driving this layout in comfort?

Sounds like the current 27 ft mid-bath.
I too would be very much like to know this. I'm am planning on buying a new 27MB. At 6'1" and about 210 it could be a deal breaker. I have not yet actually sat in the front seat of one with the seat as far back as it would go. In passenger cars and trucks I have driven, the driver's seat needs to be all the way back.
Was at the factory yesterday chatting with Todd, while sitting in one. It was the 27MB close to its build completion. Its driver seat was all the way forward. It also had the upgraded captain chairs which I don't think would make much difference. I didn't think to try it for myself or ask Todd if it would work for me. It also had a plastic covering over it to protect it and I didn't want to mess with it.

My opinion (I'm tall) is that it depends as much on femur (thigh bone) length as anything else.

Be aware that Mid-bath units before 1999 were 2.5" shorter than those manufactured after 1999.  That length added driver legroom.

Since your son owns the rig, can you try driving it for a few hours and see what you think?

FWIW, my stepson has a ten year old 27' MB, he's 6'5".  I'm sure he'd like more leg room, but it doesn't keep him and his dw from going on a trip whenever they can.

So you and I are twins size wise. My (new to me) LD has the shower behind driver seat. Two slight annoyances: having to squish to get from cab to house: and driving leg room is not quite ideal. But the potential please outweighs both for me.

Hi Paul. I have a 2017 mid bath. I picked it up last May and was also bothered as to whether I would be able to feel comfortable in the driver's seat for an extended period of time.  I am 6'5" and 205 lbs. Turns out that it is not a problem.  I usually drive for two to three hours and then take a break. The only thing that I cannot do is move into the living area from the driver seat. Legs are too long for that. Enjoy
