(Like many other people!) I have a Weber Q1000 grill. I was concerned about the potential of leaks when the propane bottle was removed from the grill with the nozzle covered only with the slip-on plastic cap. These brass caps screw on to the nozzle and seal the bottle tightly. I use the USA-made Mac caps, but there are other brass propane bottle caps listed on Amazon and from other sources.

I prefer my ancient Pyromid charcoal grill, but there are many places in the west where 'open fires', including the 'fire' of a charcoal grill, are not permitted.
