Plumbing-Kitchen Faucet
Hi Folks,
Checking into changing kitchen faucet.  New faucet has 1/2" fittings on lines.  I can't tell by looking what the fitting size of the lines are under the sink.  If I follow through with this I am either going to have to  reduce the fitting on the rv or increase the fittings on the new faucet lines.  Without opening the line and measuring-have never been good at just looking at a fitting and tell you its size-I'm hoping that someone can tell me what the size is.

Bill we have 1/2" on our 89 TK.

I don't know if you have the hard grey pipes or the newer pex / flexible pipes.
With the harder grey pipe you need the faucet, where it attaches to the pipe (threaded part) to be the same length as the old one as there is not much give to adjust the pipe closer or further away from your faucet (depends on your pipe layout).

You can take off the grey pipe easily - ours turned the widened part at the connection easily with a wrench, not really tightened past hand tightness, and I was surprised how easily it turned on ours. This should give you a better look at the faucet connections. You could even take he faucet to the store to compare to new ones.

You might want to drain water out at the sink supply lines to avoid sponging the bit that will spill out of the pipes. Turn off your water supply (empty fresh water tank or maybe just having pump off while doing this and no city water connected) and run the other faucets - hot and cold till nothing comes. When you connect it back up run each faucet one at a time (hot and cold) to make sure you get any air out (no sputtering).

Let us all know what you faucet you choose and the length of the nipples (threaded part of the connection that extends past the faucet base that rests on the counter/sink).
