2004 mb cabin door handle/latch not working
Hi,
getting ready to fix little issues with our LD, and wonder if anyone has problems with the cabin door handle not working. We were basically locked inside once last fall when we realized there were two front cab doors --   ha!  But if anyone has either replaced the door handle/latch, I'd appreciate any info.

I'm betting the spring in the latch/lock has broken. Do some searches for that and you will see some past posts about fixing it.

You probably have the same lock we have which is the Bargman L300. We had to replace the two springs which isn't a hard job. However, ours is still sometimes finicky about locking and I have no idea why. I can tell you that they don't make that model anymore so replacement is going to require some modification.

Not too long ago I spoke with Vince about this and he says that he has been able to get everyone of these that have been brought to him working. It's something we may do in the future.
