Attaching to back wall
Hi, thinking of attaching a fold up table to back wall between couches/ beds in our 27MB. According to Todd there is wood frame for window and wall is 5/32 in. panel underneath. The support is similar to hardware for counter extension in kitchen. Has anyone done something like this, would small wood screws be good? Thank you

Hi Molly; recently a friend bought a 2001 MB, and I did some work on it. The narrow table that fit in the closet was always in the way, and hard to set up. I attached it to the wall, put a leg and an attaching bolt to keep it folded up at night. This is similar to my TK in the back. I didn't have time to cut out the rear wall and reinforce  the insides, so I just put a 3/4" piece of oak the same width as my table (24") with a lot of screws to spread the load. No sitting on this table, but sturdy enough. The oak spacer is beveled to match the slope of the back wall, so that the hinges will fit right when the table is down, parallel to the floor.
The table in my TK is wider, 34", and the back wall is sturdier because my tire is stored on the other side. There is a magnet catch under the table to hold the leg folded in, to get it out of the way of people sleeping on the pulled together king size bed.
