Next generation first boondocking
Took my daughter, son in law and two grand kids on the grand kid's (and son in law's) first boondock camping trip. Dispersed camping in Anza Borrego. Son and I introduced grand kids to the desert denizens he learned to love while camping when he was just a little guy. Dogs, hiking in the open desert, catching tarantulas and lizards, first time peeing in the bushes, 4x4 exploring trails and getting lost, smores, starry nights and meteors, feeding the k-rats and grasshopper mice, and enjoying grandma's good cooking.

They called last night to ask when we are all going again.

Harold, glad you are passing along a love of camping to your grandchildren;  they will remember it forever!  Thanks for sharing the photos!

I want to know too, from the looks of that food I'll be first in line.   :D

How Grand...in every sense--kids/parents/scenery/time together.  Y'all are a walkin', talkin' Hallmark commercial.   :D   May you be blest with so many more that the grandkids lose count, & just say "Remember when...?" & their grandkids marvel at the stories.
